Misc.

If you had told me in January that I would only get in 2 measly games in the first quarter of the year, I wouldn't havebelieved you. The sad fact is that there is more regular gaming going on where the stars at night are big and bright. Another weekend, another opportunity to seize.

Lament aside, go check the first pics of the new Copplestone Miniatures range: 1660-1688-The Wars of the Sun King. Just f'ng brilliant.

Hey, Ilan. No doubt the range will be accompanied by yet another Chris Peers rule set!

Has anybody read or played the Field of Glory system yet?

M'heim goblins finished, warband bulking up. Squigs next. Step-off, Rob!

  1. No doubt they will -- rules that start with herding livestock and then get to organizing a force towards the middle!

How about some pics of that Mordheim stuff?

  2. Ilan,
Thanks for being persistant; sorry I keep missing you.

I can't show you my warband on an unsecure blog--at least until Rob and I throw-down--which won't be too soon I fear. So, perhaps a pic here and there won't betray strategy.

Thursday a.m. rcar and I will have a go with AT-43. He's brining Red Bloc, and I've got the Therians from the box game (which is really pretty cool). I'm looking forward to a different game mechanics. Priority/Activation alternating seems cool, but I'm not sure about prescribing all actions at once.

Sunday? rcar, Sherwood and I will 40k: not sure of the points or combatants yet, but its some mix of Necrons, IG and Chaos Marines. Rob or I will write a scenario to set the match. I'm aiming to have my 10 Immortals assembled and in the preliminary stages of painting.

Look on TMP and check the news from a couple of days ago. Perry plastic War of the Roses! Insane.

The plastic British Napoleonic box set looks nice too.

    I'll call.
