Bloodbowl orks workbench

Hey guys!

I thought I'd post these photos of the current project I'm working on. These are for a friend and when I finish them we'll be able to have a few games with our teams. I am not doing anything spectacularly original here, and I've been able to bring these guys to this stage in approximately 6 hours, considering the fact that I've been out of practice for about six months. Obviously they need some more work, but they are pretty close to being finished (photos are overexposed -- sorry!).

  1. Great job! I especially love the work you did on the leather and the horns. I've never tried bloodbowl.

  2. Thanks! Nothing special on either the horns or the leather. In fact I finished the horns quite fast (I guess the skills I got from painting all those beastmen are kicking in again) and the leather has been treated with very basic colors --bestial brown, then snakebite leather, then sandstorm (?) brown, then a wash of scorched brown. Bloodbowl is A LOT of fun, and running a league can become quite the attraction. Games last as long as the average Mordheim game, but setup is a lot less of a hassle, and that's a plus! I've been considering these guys for (ahem) chess pieces, too --I am still thinking which models to use for (drag) queens.

  3. Yeah, really nicely done. I'll have to point em out to my Ork playing buddy.

Speaking of which -- what is the best way to strip primer from a plastic model?
