Ok guys,

Check these new PLASTIC Pike and Shot minis. They are still in the early stages, but historical plastic is slowly becoming a reality!

  1. Looks pretty cool. I kept waiting to see a rant about plastic from IMS. Either he is cooling off in his age or he has ceased playing with others. :)

  2. I don't know that I have anything to rant about - maybe I am cooling off. I think that the price of minis is getting pretty insane, esp. historicals and WHF. When I think that minis are 3+ per fig, and that some armies will have 200 minis (not counting generals) I can't imagine getting someone interested in the game. On the other hand, Warlord and Wargames Factory have started to offer really good sculpts for a good price, and I guess I am for this. In fact, the new project here in West Texas is AT-43, and although I am repainting the minis, they are definitely plastics!

  3. I have checked out some of the plastic Celts from Warlord (ex GWers), and they are very do-able. The pastics are supplemented with some reasonably priced metal models. This issue of Wd has Rick Priestly guaranteeing that within the next five years, everything GW does will be in plastic.

If you were one of those poor sods that lay awake at night sweating over the possibility that your stored, mixed media army of plastic and metal models were actually touching, you'd be screwed!
