After that is a pic of Space Marine Tactical Unit. It shows figs you have already seen. But, more importantly, those initial three have three buddies who are close to being finished and two more have at least had their 65 coats of red applied. ;)

So, I have not had a ton of time to devote to painting as I have a deadline at the end of this month. However, I have had time here and there. So, I thought I would post a couple of WIP pics. First up, is the interior of my speeder which I am pretty happy with. I am working on a torso and arm separately before I put the top on.

And finally, I have continued to work on the basement room that holds my gaming table. I have basically moved in my terrain operation. There are a number of toys in various stats of operation. I have been salvaged broken toys for terrain. I have a lot of pieces now but it is not as easy as I had hoped to assemble. I need to make some bigger pieces and not sure what I should do. Debris fields or piles are one thing. What should the core terrain be....
Notice also the "Al Franken for Senate" signs in the corner. I picked those souvenirs up at a wedding in Minnesota in October. Who would have thought the election was still going!

If this is for 40k (or fantasy now that I think of it) you could go for a medieval-esque Gothic landscape with lots of ruined buildings and maybe a couple of good ones. The Space Marines supposedly have such "Medieval" worlds under their control to train their soldiers at and to gather potential recruits. Of course, you might have to build a few craggy hills to fit your Gothic castle setup, but carving these out of hard foam should be ok.
ReplyDeleteHeya - that dashboard does look awesome. Nice job. I envy you for your basement as well - looks like a nice place to play.
