On the matter of figure storage

So this is the little number that is rocking my figgie storage.  These are called "Snap N'Stack", and they come with about three little bins for craft storage (from Target).

The reason I am digging them is that it is the first system for storing minis that carries with one hand like a brief case (not "pizza style," as Rob describes the alternatives), and all of the minis get to stand up.

I can fit more than 1500 pts worth of minis in this stack of four, and the top is the special bin for rolls of ribbon, that is tall enough to take standards, Dreadnaughts, etc.

I have the bottoms magnetized, and I have washers on the bottoms of all my bases, so they stay pretty good when I carry them.

The one issue is that they tip over pretty easily, but I think these need to be stored on top of surfaces, as opposed to on the floor, as I do my bigger bins.

  1. On IMS's recommendation, I got one of these at my local Super Target. Despite the adjective, the choices were limited. I got a little two level one but still need to find a ribbon box one for the Dreadnoughts, etc. I really like it so far.

I have been gluing washers to the bottom of the plastic bases to good end so far.

  2. IMS: These look excellent! I'm glad to report that since my colors are that of the black legion the chosen lying disembowled on your honcho's base must be from some other chapter. Given the CSM's lack of proclivity for their own we can just chalk it up to another sacrifice for the chaos gods.
